This Sunday at Red House, step into the vibrant world of Jamini Roy, one of India’s most celebrated modernist painters. Travel to the rural heart of East India without leaving Delhi, as we explore Roy’s life, iconic style, and the traditional techniques that defined his bold, earthy vision.

The workshop will include:
1. A guided introduction to Jamini Roy’s work and technique.
2. Hands-on tempera painting on postcards and pots.
3. Clay sculpting session.
— all while immersing yourself in the rhythm of Bankura folk music.

Arjun Shivaji Jain – Director of Red House, Central Saint Martins alum, and lifelong Tagore enthusiast will be facilitating the workshop.
