New Post
Dear Residents,
Each of us has a story to tell. The only question is: how do we bring it to life? Through images, a story finds its rhythm, its pauses, its silences. Through sound, it acquires texture, resonance, and depth.
This September at Red House, we invite you to shape your stories across two distinct yet intertwined mediums: first through the language of photography, then through the art of sound.
Photography & Storytelling Workshop (Offline - at Red House)
You may already know what your story is. You may already know how to take a photograph. But how do the two come together?

Guided by the Fseven Photographers, this two-day workshop at Red House will be an exploration of how arrangement of images creates meaning, emotion, and rhythm.
Through hands-on sequencing exercises, pairing text with images, and reflective discussion, you’ll begin to see the narrative potential within your own work. By the end, you’ll carry home a concept note and a working sequence: a foundation for your personal photo-story.
About the Instructors: The Fseven Photographers are a collective of independent image-makers exploring personal, social, and cultural narratives through photography. Rooted in individual journeys yet united by a shared curiosity, the collective has focused on storytelling that is honest, reflective, and rooted in lived experience.

Sound & Storytelling Workshop (Online - open internationally)
The following weekend, the story shifts into sound.

With music producer Surel Ingale, discover how listening, recording, editing, and arranging can turn fragments of sound into layered, resonant narratives.
Day 1 introduces you to deep listening, field recordings, and the basics of editing and DAWs. Day 2 expands into blending recordings into compositions, experimenting with new AI tools, and shaping your own sonic story. The workshop culminates in a showcase and peer reflections, so you leave with both skill and confidence in crafting stories through sound.
No prior technical knowledge is required — whether or not you know what a DAW is today, you will by the end of the weekend.
About the instructor: Surel Ingale is a multi-genre music producer, composer, and independent artist. A classically trained pianist and Musicians Institute (LA,Hollywood) graduate, he has composed original music for films, brands, and platforms such as Prime Video, Netflix, Lionsgate Play, Sony LIV, Nestlé, Tata, and Renault. With a strong interest in music technology and education, his work features a contemporary, story-driven approach to every project.
