Dear Residents,

This Saturday, we invite you to embark on a journey of mindfulness and artistic expression with our special workshop on the ancient Japanese art of Sumi-e (black-ink painting) at Red House !

In this unique session, you'll immerse yourself in the history and philosophy of Sumi-e, learning to channel your inner calm and creativity. With steady hands and serene minds, we’ll guide you through the basic brushstrokes and ink effects that define this beautiful art form.

Together, we will create two of the four traditional ‘shikunshi’ paintings – the delicate ‘spring’ orchid and the graceful ‘summer’ bamboo. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have 10 sheets of Sumi-e art to take home as a testament to your newfound skills.

Workshop Details:

• Date: Saturday, August 24

• Time: 5pm to 7.30pm

• Fee: ₹1600 per attendee

• Venue: Red House, B203, Okhla Phase-1
