New Post
In visual perception, a colour is almost never seen as it really is - as it physically is. To this end, the beginning is not a study of colour systems, but, through experience, and by trial and error, a development of a true eye for colour.
-Josef Albers
Dear Residents,
This Sunday, get ready to use your eyes in ways you never imagined possible. At some point, you'll be begging us, we promise, for a visual analogue to cocoa beans, to sniff your eye-noses reset. — For we are going back a 106 years into the past to collaborate with the truly avant-garde BAUHAUS, with a brilliantly rare workshop on one its strongest proponents Josef Albers’ groundbreaking wholly experimental way of studying colour.

Join us for The Interaction of Colour — a hands-on, experimental workshop where you’ll explore Albers’ revolutionary ideas through guided experiments with coloured paper. Over three hours, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of how colour behaves and learn to see colour in ways you never have before — no prior knowledge of colour theory /physics/physiology is required.

Date: Sunday, December 7
Time: 11.30am to 2.30pm
Venue: Red House, B203, Okhla Phase 1
Instructor: Arjun Shivaji Jain (Director of Red House, and Graduate of Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London)
All materials for the workshop will be provided by us.
