Join us this weekend with the talented Anal Jha, from Goa, in celebration of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Submerge yourself in the cooling depths of an evening concert and immerse yourself the next afternoon in the timeless art of the mouth harp.


1.A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM: AN INTERACTIVE CONCERT
This immersive experience will connect you to your body’s vibrations while engaging with the natural world. The concert features a variety of instruments including the didgeridoo, mouth harp, ney, Native American double drone flute, Sakuhachi, Ocarina, cajon, darbuka, rattles, and more! Designed to heighten your awareness of subtle sensations within yourself through the sheer power of sound.

2.AN AFTERNOON OF A FAUN: A MOUTH HARP WORKSHOP AND EXHIBITION

Regardless of your musical background, in just three hours you will learn to play - and play with - the Mouth Harp, bringing out your inner Faun! (A faun is the playful creature from Roman mythology often associated with forests and rustic music.) And… what’s more? You’ll take a Mouth Harp home with you!

About the Performer/Facilitator:
Anal is an interdisciplinary artist who believes in the political capacity of art very much. With a background in design and exploring connections between different kinds of art disciplines like music, poetry and cinema, he has also learnt to use art as a tool to voice any kind of discrimination on a personal and collective level.
