Dear Residents,
There is a certain kind of Delhi morning that only arrives in early spring. The air is light, the sun still gentle, and the city briefly feels like it belongs to those willing to step out and wander.
This Sunday, we’re taking advantage of exactly that, by heading outdoors for a springtime Architectural and Cultural Walk through RK Puram!

Delhi as a city continues to quietly absorb waves of people, and how, over time, those movements reshape neighbourhoods, rituals, and everyday life. RK Puram offers a surprisingly clear lens into this process. Planned by the state yet filled by communities from across the country, its sectors hold stories of bureaucratic vision, commemorative naming, migrant memory, and sacred architecture coexisting in unexpected ways.
Over the course of the morning, Sameeksha will guide us through these layers — looking at how architecture, urban planning, and community histories intersect to form the Delhi we inhabit today.
About the walk leader:
A postgraduate archaeology student with a focus on Indology, Sameeksha has led numerous historical and museum walks across the city. Her approach connects architecture with art, philosophy, and historiography, encouraging participants to think about not only how spaces were built, but what they have come to mean. The walk will also touch on ways of observing and photographing these spaces with a more attentive, thematic eye.
We definitely hope you join us, on what is expected to be a beautiful morning to walk through one of Delhi’s most quietly revealing neighbourhoods.
