New Post

Dear Residents,

We believe that learning a trade, for any serious artist, can be very, very beneficial. For visual artists especially, like painters and photographers, the ‘trade’ of making wooden picture frames may not only provide them with a reliable source of income when in need, but also contribute towards significant savings in the carrying out their own art. And, besides being a natural extension of their work, if they’re anything like us, they spend a bomb already decorating their home with pictures, and can so save a lot of hard earned money!

As a cultural centre, we suppose we're already in the business of 'framing' sufficiently significant cultural ongoings in the city, aren't we? This Sunday, learn how to frame pictures by Arjun Shivaji Jain - director of Red House and a graduate of Central Saint Martins of the University of Arts London.

The workshop will not require attendees to bring any material on their own, but they will indeed go back with a finished wooden photo frame and the knowledge to construct their own in the future and independently.
