Radical Freedom. That is what Red House has meant to us. From the very beginning. Of the head, the hand, and the heart. The breaking of the shackles. And we've never pretended that there isn't anything seriously devilish about this.

So, as per that very Satanic Majesty's Requests: here is the very first lineup of the new and improved Red House Origin Story-Cycle: walks across the eight cities of Delhi, embroidery classes, and a banned book club — beginning Nov 22 and ending Jan 10.
Head over to the LINKS BELOW to know more about each. And let us know as soon as possible to sign up. First-come-first-served, RH Residents! We won't wait.
'The Eight Cities of Delhi' Walk-Series

For this one, we're stepping outside of the Red House premises and exploring this city we call home! If you’ve ever wanted to understand why Delhi feels the way it does… Start here.
Before Delhi became how we know it today, it was eight different cities, each built, destroyed, and reborn through time. From Qutub Complex to Lutyens' new capital, Delhi has worn many faces - many masks - each whispering stories of kings, poets, rebels, and dreamers. This 'Eight Cities of Delhi' Walk-Series is an invitation to you to trace the city’s evolution back to its origin. Over eight weekends, we will explore each city of Delhi not just as a bunch of monuments, but as living history.
Each walk will be guided by either Ratnendu Ray or Nimisha Srivastava — walk leaders who’ve spent years uncovering the layered stories of this city.

‘Thread and Needle’ Impressionistic Embroidery Classes

Imagine being able to paint with thread, the way Van Gogh painted with oil — colours that shimmer, swirl, and pull you in. Embroidery already has its own quiet magic, but in Mila Supinskaya’s hands, it becomes something else entirely: a whirlwind of colour that feels almost alive. Trust us, the results are irresistible.
The classes (which are happening for the second time at Red House) will introduce you to the essentials of embroidery: from choosing a subject and transferring it onto cloth, to fixing the thread, stretching fabric, and learning basic stitches.
And yes, a warning: this class has side effects. You may turn into the person who casually embroiders in a doctor’s waiting room (true story — it has happened with me, Sunaina XD).

Banned Books Club

Some books are banned because they offend. Others because they awaken. At Red House, we believe the most dangerous stories are often the most necessary ones, the ones that dare to ask 'why not'?
The 'Banned Books Club' is a free two-month-long reading-and-discussion series exploring 2 works that have shaken the world, challenged morality, and redefined freedom of expression. If you like your literature bold, unafraid, and a little bit forbidden, this one’s for you.
The book club will be moderated by Sonakshi Srivastava, a senior writing fellow (ELT) at Ashoka University who is passionate about all forms of creative writing, reading pedagogies, food literatures, astromancy, post-humanism, zines, and animal studies, and has facilitated reading rooms, discussions and workshops for various organisations.

Those who are meant to arrive… always do. Don’t be late.
Warm regards,
