Dear Residents,
This weekend at Red House, we invite you to witness the quiet magic of life unfolding on screen - through the eyes of a boy, son, husband, and father.
To mark what would’ve been Satyajit Ray’s 104th birthday, we’re screening his most iconic works: the Apu Trilogy! Three nights. Three films. One unforgettable journey through love, loss, and the human spirit.

The Lineup:
2nd May | 6.30pm to 9.00pm | Rs 350 per ticket
PATHER PANCHALI

In a quiet Bengal village, a poor family battles hardship, dreams, and inevitable loss. Through the curious eyes of young boy Apu, we glimpse the simple joys and deep sorrows of rural life. As tragedy strikes and hope flickers, the family gathers strength to seek a better future, leaving behind the only world they've ever known.
3rd May | 6.30pm to 8.30pm | Rs 350 per ticket
APARAJITO

Young Apu leaves his rural home with his mother after a family tragedy, seeking new opportunities in a bustling city. As he pursues education and personal growth, he grapples with the tension between his ambitions and his deep connection to his mother, ultimately facing loneliness, sacrifice, and the inevitable journey toward independence in an unfamiliar world.
4th May | 6.30pm to 9.00pm | Rs 350 per ticket
APUR SANSAR

Now a young man, Apu, adrift and struggling, finds unexpected love and hope through marriage. As he builds a life with his spirited wife, tragedy strikes, leaving him shattered and lost. Through grief, self-discovery, and forgiveness, he slowly reclaims his sense of purpose, embracing fatherhood and the possibilities of a new beginning beyond sorrow.
To book your spots, for any/all of the dates, email us [email protected]. Limited seats available for each screening.
All of the films will be accompanied by a post-screening discussion with Director of Red House, Arjun Shivaji Jain.
Note: Attendees can book spots for an individual screening. Though ideally, of course, for full emotional impact, all three films ought also to be watched. The films stand on their own as a powerful stories and a newcomer won’t be lost, but you’ll miss the deeper resonances.
