What past participants have said:
“I came across these School of Rock classes through a friend of mine who gifted me these classes as a birthday gift… For me, these classes were so informative, fun and lighthearted at the same time. I really want to thank Arjun because he gave us a wonderful playlist, he gave us so much information about music and its history, how it has evolved, and how wonderful artists have contributed to the music industry all these years. If you’re somebody who’s looking for a class that would teach you more about music, definitely give this a shot! These classes were really refreshing and fun.”

Elements of Drawing

Our signature drawing workshop has gone global! Over four sessions, we’ll explore John Ruskin’s Elements of Drawing (line, light, shadow, and form), sharpen your eyes and train your hand. No matter your experience or inexperience in drawing, over a month of Ruskin’s lessons, and you will learn how to see, and how to draw what you see, and then see again. A couple more months - and you'll be able to draw ANYTHING that you see!

About the facilitator:
Arjun Shivaji Jain is the director of Red House and graduate of Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London, and former Young Companions' Representative of the Guild of St George, a charity in Sheffield established in 1871 by John Ruskin himself.

What past participants have said:
“The classes have been a great way to learn how to appreciate the play of light and shadow in nature and trying to capture those details on paper. Very excited to continue on this journey with Arjun and the Red House team!”

Embroidery (For the first time at Red House!)

In these classes, embroidery is not just craft, it’s painting with thread. Imagine Van Gogh’s bold swirls, Klimt’s shimmering colours, or your own memories stitched into fabric. In this workshop, you’ll move from choosing subjects and learning stitches, to blending colours and textures until they look like brushstrokes on canvas. Each session is guided, but also leaves room for your imagination to take over (whether you want to recreate a masterpiece or invent your own). By the end, you’ll see embroidery not as decoration, but as art alive with movement, story, and feeling.

About the facilitator:
These embroidery classes will operate under the guidance of Mila Supinskaya, an Ukraine-born Delhi-based artist with over 15 years’ experience in photography, design, and art. A TEDx speaker whose work has featured with global brands like Lipton, AirAsia, and Qatar Airways, as well as on book covers and magazines, she brings a sharp eye for detail and purpose to every project of hers. Also known as the 'Ukrainian in a Saree', her creative journey at present is focused on the expressive possibilities of embroidery, where colour, texture, and design come together in striking new forms.

Psychoaccoustics (For the first time at Red House!)

Most of us think of sound as something that simply enters our ears. But the truth is far more complex: sound is constructed in the brain. The field of psychoacoustics investigates this transformation — how raw vibrations become melody, harmony, language, and emotion. We’ll explore the quirks of human perception: why two notes played together create harmony in one culture but dissonance in another; why certain rhythms stimulate the body while others soothe it; how sound can alter mood, memory, even behaviour. We welcome you to a four-part journey into sound itself, from vibrations and frequencies to harmony, instruments, and music history, ending with how we hear and interpret sound. Where science meets art, and listening becomes magic.

About the facilitator:
These psychoacoustics classes will operate under the guidance of Ilin-Dime Dimovski, a Macedonian double bassist and chamber musician, performing internationally as a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra since 2010. A former student of Rinat Ibragimov at the Guildhall School in London and Maestro Stefano Sciascia in Trieste, Dimovski’s artistry is documented on recordings for Deutsche Grammophonand concert halls across Europe and beyond — from the Brucknerhaus in Linz to Berlin’s Berghain. A former student of Rinat Ibragimov at the Guildhall School in London and Maestro Stefano Sciascia in Trieste, Dimovski’s artistry is documented on recordings for Deutsche Grammophon, Universal, and Naxos.
